Christmas Ornaments

Last year for Christmas I decided to make everyone in my family a special custom ornament.  I found some super cute ornament frames at a craft store, and I'm a sucker for small things!  Only, I didn't know what to put in them!  So I decided to draw everyone as an elf and give them a personalized ornament.  It was so fun to see their eyes light up and the laughter as they saw their portrait Christmas Morning.

So this year I decided to open myself up to commissions for your very own custom elf ornament!  Do you have someone in your life who is an Ugly Sweater Queen?  A Grouchy Grinch? Or just a cute little Elf Couple?  All I need is a refrence pic and you get to choose the style of your portrait, AND it comes with a cute ornament frame.  Isn't that the best?!?  Now you will know for sure you got the best unique present that nobody else can beat!  Message me to get started or email me at sketchoflifedrawings@gmail.com

Sketch of Life goes to Salt Lake Comic Con!

I was so happy to have the opportunity to go to Salt Lake Comic Con this past weekend!  It was so fun to be able to show everyone my artwork and meet so many great people.

I love doing fan art, so this was a great venue for me and I got to meet so many people with a love for animation and characters we had in common. I was also able to display some of my Sketch of Life portraits and generated lots of interest in that! So, yay!

One of the special things I did was offer on-the-spot portraits.  It made my day seeing people's faces light up seeing them drawn as the character they cosplayed or in their original outfits.  One girl even cried she was so happy!

This was an amazing experience and one I definitely hope to repeat next year!

Kelsey and Morgan's Wedding!

I recently got to do the Wedding Portrait for Kelsey and Morgan.  Their wedding was so cute with a flamingo and pineapple theme.  Such fun themes really allows for adorable portraits!  I love being able to let the subjects personality show through and draw little tidbits that explain them or their relationship!

The best part is hearing the excitement from the couple as they read their Sketch of Life together and laugh and point out things they love.  Makes my day!

Wedding Portrait: Dallan and Jessica

This past weekend Dallan and Jessica got married.  I was able to do a wedding portrait for them and can I tell you how awesome it is to see it framed and part of their reception line?! So adorable.  Jessica was so happy with the portrait because it captured her favorite part of her wedding dress: the back!

I love doing weddings and capturing all the love the couples have for each other!

Couple's Portrait: Caleb and Kim

Recently you saw the super cute Valentines that we did.  The Couple's Portrait is similar to that, only not heart-themed.  For an example, here is on of Caleb and Kim, who chose a theme of 'woodsy' - and it is perfect for all year round!  Couple's portraits are a great way to get a little personality into a picture and have a fun momento to display in your home!  Plus, the 5x7 size is super easy to frame on the wall, or have in a small frame on your desk or table.

To get your couple's portrait started just email me at sketchoflifedrawings@gmail.com, or fill out the form on the side of this web page!
